A well known structure is that of bricks in construction. In the first image, see how bricks are stacked by the mason. The vertical (upright) joints are never exactly one above the other, that would make a wall less sturdy.
Exercise 1: Try to draw the structure of bricks. I recommend a ruler for the horizontal lines in the beginning.
Exercise 2: In a drawing you can use this structure for something that is not normally made of brick. An example is the brick giant, apparently feeling very strong. Draw the beste friend/girlfriend of this giant.
