Chapter 3 | MORE HANDICRAFT
Choose one or more of the following extra’s:
EXTRA 1: Draw waving hands for (for example) a celebration, to see someone off or to welcome people home. You can do this together with someone if you like.
EXTRA 2: In the next sketch again shows the importance of the shape of the hand from the wrist to the fingers. These hands are drawing or writing something on a wall. Draw one of them and come up with something that he or she draws or writes.
EXTRA 3: Did you know that the characters in the stories of Donald Duck and Mickey Mouse only have three fingers? So three of these hands come from Walt Disney’s stories… You might like to draw them and perhaps attach a cartoon character of your own making to them.
Even for more experienced artists, realistically drawing a real hand of someone or yourself (with the help of a mirror) is a challenge. In the next and final chapter of this lesson you will see a few masterpieces in this regard.
